Bank of Russia Educational Establishments and Training Centres
The Bank of Russia's banking schools (colleges) are educational
establishments of secondary vocational training licensed to implement basic
secondary vocational education programmes at the basic and advanced levels, and
also the programmes of complementary vocational training.
The Bank of Russia is the founder of banking schools (colleges).
The Bank of Russia's banking schools (colleges) are legal entities
carrying out their activities in compliance with the legislation of the Russian
Federation, the Standard Statute on the educational establishments of secondary
vocational training (specialised secondary educational institutions), the
regulatory acts of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia, the Bank of
Russia and the statutes of educational establishments.

Training is provided on the basis of curricula and programmes, taking
into account the specifics of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation
and credit institutions.

Complementary vocational training |

with a higher (secondary) vocational education. |
Training is provided on the basis of curricula and programmes, taking
into account the specifics of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation
and credit institutions.
Secondary vocational
training in banking (speciality 080108)
Basic level of secondary vocational training in banking.
Qualification: Banking Specialist.
Duration of training:
Form of study: full-time
22 months for trainees with a secondary (complete) general education;
34 months for trainees with a basic general education.
Form of study: by correspondence
30 months for trainees with a secondary (complete) general education;
18 months for trainees with a non-banking higher education.
Advanced level of secondary vocational training in banking.
Qualification: Advanced Training Banking Specialist.
A trainee is instructed in one of the following topics:
- accounting and operations at the central bank;
- accounting and operations in banks;
- information and communications technologies;
- taxes and taxation;
- foreign exchange operations and foreign exchange control.
Duration of training:
Form of study: full-time
10 months for trainees with a basic secondary vocational education;
34 months for trainees with a secondary (complete) general education;
46 months for trainees with a basic general education.
Form of study: by correspondence combined with
external studies:
10 months for trainees with a basic secondary vocational education;
42 months for trainees with a secondary (complete) general education;
22 months for trainees with a non-banking higher education.
Complementary vocational
training
Advanced Training
Intended for executives and specialists of the structural units of the
Bank of Russia institutions and Russian credit institutions and aims to enhance
managerial efficiency, allow trainees to acquire the knowledge of new theories
and improve their practical skills for the purposes of their effective professional
activities.
This training is provided in the following form: advanced training
courses for various categories of executives and specialists of structural
units;
thematic seminars on specific banking problems of current interest and
secondments.
Training is organised on the basis of requests from the personnel
services of the organisations of the Bank of Russia and credit institutions.
Vocational retraining
Intended for new employees of Bank of Russia institutions who have a
higher economic or other education and also for specialists who are expected to
change or expand the range of their professional activities.
Vocational retraining includes:
A full-time three-week course of basic
training at a banking school in the general subject of the functioning of
the Bank of Russia;
Basic training is designed to provide trainees with systematised
information about the activities, purposes, status, principles of organisation
and functions of the Bank of Russia.
A 2- to 4-month course of full-time or part-time practical training (secondment)
in the Bank of Russia regional branches in all of the functionally interrelated
units of particular specialisation.
A 3- to 5-week course of full-time special
training in the subjects corresponding to the trainee's field of work:
- legal regulation of banking
activities; - foreign currency operations,
foreign exchange regulation and foreign exchange control; - operations to counter the legalisation (laundering) of criminally obtained incomes and terrorism
financing; - monetary regulation; - economics;
- operations and current record
keeping and accounting in cash settlement centres; - accounting and internal audit in
the Bank of Russia.
The general duration of vocational retraining is from 3 to 6 months
(over 500 hours).
